Oldie for Friday

Hello Blog friends, followers and passers by.  Thank you for calling by to see what is on offer for today`s "Oldie for Friday"  This was started by Erika over at
Its a fun thing ... anything Crafty you have made in the past is what is wanted.
It amazes me how my Paper Crafting has developed.  I was always a knitter & sewer. I feel the style of that has not changed quite so much.  Talking of Sewing, when we had out Clear-Out we took boxes from the attic that were put up there when we moved.  I had a Box of Sewing Pattern`s that I had not used all the time we have been in this house.  All sorted and the ones that were definitely "dated" are in the recycling.  I have kept all the "classic" ones.  Don`t know if I will use them or just give them to the Charity Shop.  I used to make all my own clothes especially Evening Gowns.  Now John has retired we don`t do all the Fancy Dining anymore.
Anyway here is my Oldie for Friday:-

Can`t remember if I have shown this as an Oldie For Friday or not.
I did make the card back in 2013 inspired by a pair of shoes I was wearing that day.
Here are the shoes:-
I love these shoes, they are a bit high for every day use but I do wear them whenever I can.
They have the matching bag which is great

That`s me for today
Thank you so much for your visit I really appreciate it
Till next time

Tissue Box Covers

Hello Blog friends, hope you are all well.  Thank you for popping by, love to have you here.
Busy with a few projects, not much free time just now.  I have also started a Mini Album .... I saw one on  and loved what she had done.  Another person doing them is  if you check out their Blogs you will see the kind of thing I am taking about. These ladies have made a wonderful job of theirs and have shown them on their Blogs.  The way mine is going at the moment I cant see that happening here any time soon.  They are a lot of work, some of the ingredients are not so readily available here.  I have to "Make do and Mend" as they say.  Its fun for me and that is the main thing.
Last week my friend Pearl phoned to ask if I would make her a couple of Tissue Box Covers.  I made s a few for Pearl some time ago. I got some wallpaper she was using to decorate her rooms and made the Boxes to match. She has managed to get her mum into a lovey Nursing Home not far from her and would  like covers made to make the room look as pretty as possible for her mum.
So here they are:-

I used an old design with measurements I had on file
StampinUp Stippled Blossom Stamp Set to decorate (I just LOVE these Stamps)

Same measurement but made a lid (does not come off) for decoration
Papers were from a Pad ... with no name ... sorry!!!
Justrite Stamp Set for the little oval

Thank you for your visit, I really appreciate it
Till next time

"Slighty Shabby Thank You"

Hello Blog friends, followers and anyone who pressed a button which brought them here.  You are all very welcome, I do hope you call again sometime.
I am not Blogging much just now, lots going on and more to come in the following weeks.   Next thing, the boys will be off school at the end of June for 71/2 weeks this year.  We don`t look after them but they will be here a fair bit ... their choice.  We have been chatting about all going away but we will see.  They have a few "Camping Trips" on the cards.  Although their tent is big and could accommodate us, that`s a No! No! as far as John is concerned he is definitely not a "happy camper".  I would not mind, Hazel and I did it so much camping when we were young.  Mind you it does get more difficult as you get older!!
One of my neighbours asked if I would make a Thank You Card for her.  I made a few as it is one card that is always needed.
This is the one she chose:-

I found the image in my Box of images.   Don`t know where it came from, I think it might have been from a CD.  It looked like it had been printed on Velum but in fact just on paper.  Anyway I quite liked it, suited the purpose.
Other than a piece of Lilac card, and some Organza Ribbon that`s it .... simple!!!

Robert was with me on Saturday while John & Thomas were away on their bikes.  Robert had been at his Goalie Training for 1 hour.  In the car, off to join his team and played a Football Match.  He said, he had done enough for one day.  He wanted to make something for his mum who was working.
I showed him how to work out his card sizes to make a box.  Watched over him while he used the Guillotine and left him too it.
Here is what he made:-

The top is a BIG Rose Button from my box.
What fun we had with the letters, had to cut two lots, leaving loads lying about.  We played at how many words we could make.

That`s it for today
Thank you so much for calling by, I really appreciate your support
Till next time
