"Some Real Oldies for Friday"

Hello Blog friends, followers and any poppers by.  Hope you are all well, if not I send a few hugs in hope they might help.
Sorry I have been  missing over the past few days.  It`s a wee bit hectic here at the moment.
I have been trying to keep up with my commenting, just have not had any time for playing.  If I have missed any of your Post I will get there I promise.

I have a few Real Oldies for you today.
Right!!! I might as well tell you before Hazel "lets the cat out of the bag again"...............!!!
Today is our Golden Wedding I have a few photos to show you:-

John & I outside the Church .... not a Prison!!!!!

No big wedding, we were not a well off family.  However, did that really matter when we are still together and happy today.  In the photo above is Dad with Jackie 21months, Mum, Me & Hazel.

I met John when I was still at school, I was 15 John was almost 21.  With the age gap you can imagine mum & dad were not too happy.  They really could not do or say too much.....they were married at the same ages.   John`s family lived in the same street so they were known to Mum & Dad I think that helped a little.  We got engaged on my 17th birthday, John told them he would not marry me till I was 18. (In Scotland you can marry at 16)  I was 18 one week and married the next.

Thank you for your visit I really appreciate it
Till next time

"No Roses"

Hello Blog friends, and all who pop in for a visit today.  My goodness the start of another week.  They are fairly galloping by, I can hardly keep up with them.  Great to have you  here, I hope you like what you see and call again soon. Thank you for all the belated Birthday Wishes I really appreciate them.
Still getting over the Birthday celebrations, why does the cake seen to last so long.......!!!  I was sure it was not THAT big.  What was left I placed in a see through container.  Every time I opened the cupboard it was "winking" at me.  All gone now thank goodness, the boys polished it off yesterday.
My card for today was created while playing.  I had a thought in my head ..... well it`s nothing like what I thought...........!! hate when that happens.  I will pop it in my box it might get used sometime  in the future.

Base card is an off cut approx 4 x 7
Kraft card another bit that was cast aside, border cut with SB Edge Dies
SB Foliage Die cut then placed back in the card
Bird house Die Cut from my box.   I took a leaf out of Jules (always with a heart) book and used the tiny heart from the Bird House to pop on the card
WOC Cheery Blossom
Organza bow

The Cheery Blossom was a bunch that fell out of a basket that John managed to knock off a shelf.
What a load of rubbish bits fell out but it`s amazing what you find when things like that happen

That`s it folks
Thank you for calling in today I really appreciate it
Till next time
