"You have a Grandson"

Hello Blog friends, hope you have had a good day.
Thank you for calling by today, I really love that you take time to pop into to see what I have been up to.  Certainly not much these days because of this heat.  My house is nice and cool so I could be crafting.  Only thing is my brain does not seem to be functioning, maybe it has gone off on holiday without telling me.....LOL

A very simple card today, this is another card that was part of the order I sent off to Tammy (Hazel`s Daughter).    Tammy likes her card plain and simple.

Base card a white DL
Navy card
Silver Mirri
A LOTV image stamped on white card and coloured using Specrtum Noir Pens
I like this simple stamp it is so easy to colour.
Sentiment as Tammy requested mounted the same as the image

That`s it for today
Thank you so much for your visit I really do appreciate it and all the lovely comments you leave.
Till next time

"A little Shabby Chic"

Hello and welcome, thank you for popping by today.
Wow! it was Hot, Hot, Hot, here today.  It started off quite cool early this morning but Man! did it heat up.  We actually had spells of cloudless skies letting the sun blast its heat.  I sat outside for a while, totally in the shape I may add  (I don`t do sitting in the direct sun).
Had to retreat to the lovely cool of the house.    Not a lot of crafting done, I think the heat has frazzled my brain a little more than usual.  I did manage to put this card together, not great but it is something.

Base card 6 x 6 white card
Piece of paper that was in my bundle no idea where it came from.  Probably a Freebe from a Magazine
I distressed the edges using a pair of scissors
I found a great tool for Faux Paper Piercing which I used round the edges.  Some more practise needed I feel
Die cut shape using a SB Die by Sue Wilson and SB butterfly
Cheery Lynn leaf and swirl Die cut, one of a few I got from a very generous fellow Blogger as a gift.
Die cut flowers using a Britannia Die.   Centres of the flowers are waste from Die Cuts.
Greeting Banner & Stamp set by Marianne Collectables

That`s it for today
Thank you for taking time in your busy day to come visit I really appreciate it.
Till next time

"Just a lttle card"

Hello and welcome to my wee corner of Blogland.
Thank you for taking time out to come visit me.   For those you you who come regularly to visit and don`t have a log that I can link back to I give you an extra "thank you".  I feel honoured that you come to see what I have been up to even though I can not return the favour.
Thank your for all your lovely comments on the Baby Feet  image.  I downloaded that image years ago, I have used it so many times.  People who I have made cards for using it often ask for it to be used again and again.
What about this amazing weather??  I love it, although up here in Perthshire, Scotland we are not getting cloudless skies.  We always have that veil of cloud, it is very warm which is wonderful.  When the sun does get through the clouds Oh! Man! is it hot or what??  I suppose we really do have the better option.  Don`t care as long as it last for a while yet.

Today`s card is a little card requested by Hazel to pop in with a couple of our Pendants that were being posted off.  We usually put in just a small Thank You card.  The Pendants are going to someone a bit special so needed a "special" card.

Base card 4 x 4 white card
I made a Diagonal easel card  ..  just to be a bit different
Topper for the card is white card embossed with tiny flowers
A couple of Memory Box Dies from the bundle I got from eBay
Banner is a Stamp & Die set from Marianne Collectables
I cut the pink banner in half and placed it so it looked like a double banner.  The Bow made from Silk Ribbon from my Ribbon Box, that covers the cut in the banner.
Tiny roses made using a Britannia Die I got in Harrogate earlier this year with a couple of small pins added
Some Pearl Swirls to finish off and a Heart Pearl as a stopper.

That`s it for today
Thank you for stopping here I really appreciate it
Till next time

"Baby Card"

Hello and welcome, great to have you here today.
Thank you for stopping by to have a look at what I am doing to pass the time.
Actually time in this house is in very little supply.  Do not know why but it just seems to disappear so quickly.
I really do not know where yesterday went.  I think I have lost Monday somewhere along the line.
Weather has been good for us not the cloudless skies like some people are getting.  We actually had a few spots of rain just before lunch time.   Just a few spots so lunch was inside today, we have not had much sun today at all.
My card today is one of a few I made for Hazel`s daughter Tammy.  Tammy has had a few friends having babies just now.  I did some girl cards last week and of course they were away before I remembered I had not photographed them.  Hazel is doing the Gifts,  I do all the cards.   She has done a beautiful Nappy Cake for Olivia.  Check this out on:-
I am sure there will be something special for Harvey which Hazel will be showing soon.

Here is my card for Harvey
Base card 6 x 6 white card
Blue card
Blue spotty paper I ran through the Heart Lattice Embossing Folder
Blue Stamping Up ribbon which was part of my Mother`s Day Card Competition prize I won through Making Cards Magazine
White card
Blue Card
Topper is a downloaded Topper I have had for years.   I use this for lots and lots of my Baby Cards
Computer generated greeting, I cut the ends into a fish tail shape mounted onto some of the blue card and cut the tails again

That`s it for today
Thank you for popping in I really appreciate that you do that and for all your lovely comments.
Without them this wonderful world of Blogging would not be the same.
Till next time

"Inspiration Copy"

Hello Blog friends, thank you for popping in today.  Hope you have all had a great weekend.
I have to say is a "BIG" thank you to Rita RMG Creations for the inspiration for what I have to offer today.  When I did my daily check of her Blog there it idea for a different gift for my friend Pearl.
Most of my followers will remember Pearl was flooded out of her house the Friday before last Christmas.   Pearl moved back in to her beloved cottage Tuesday past.  She will take ages to get it back to normal.  With having to try rescuing so many things before they got damaged everything was just "dumped" in what ever container would hold things.  Boxes that were in the garage, suitcases you name it, it was used.  Now that things are all back at the cottage she just has to open the next thing at hand to find out what it contains.  Not like a normal house move where you have an idea what is where.  Anyway Pearl although a bit stressed is so excited about being back home.
I asked her if she had a piece of the beautiful wallpaper she had used in her Bathroom.  Here is what I did with it.  A Pretty Tissue Box Cover to match her beautiful bathroom.
Pearl gave me left over pieces of wallpaper from her lounge and also one of the bedrooms. She did not know what I wanted the paper for.   She just gave it to me   ....   Pearl is so used to my crazy requests for bits and pieces.  She has not seen this I will pop along with it tomorrow morning/Monday.

Hazel and I met Kate (cullisocks) yesterday Oh! My did we chat and laugh.  Kate is terrific we met for the very first time a couple of months ago in Inverness where she lives.  This time we met her off the bus in Perth, after hugs all round we started chatting as though we had known each other for ever it was a great feeling.  Had a nice lunch, chatted and laughed so much before we knew it, it was time to take Kate back to the station for the bus and her 3 hour journey back home.

Now my Project for today:-

My box is a standard Square Tissue Box, I measured it and made the box to cover this.
I used 16 x 16 Centura Pearl Card from Crafters Companion.
Cut out the squares for the top and the bottom of the box, covered them with the wallpaper and left them to dry before scoring and making up the box.  I had to keep reminding myself to cut the hole in the lid before I made it up.
Surrounded the edge of the lid with some lace, added a triple loop bow to cover the join in the lace.
SB Scallop and standard oval used to cut out the decoration for the top.

That`s it for today
Thank you for visiting and leaving all your lovely comments I really do appreciate it
Till next time
